Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt
It’s hard to imagine Easter without friends and family, without a trip to visit the Easter Bunny or even participate in the local neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. This year, though, things are different. So instead, we have to adapt to make Easter feel “normal” for our kids.
Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt
Here comes the Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt to the rescue!
Our neighborhood is set to do the egg hunt the week before Easter.
The Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt was announced in our neighborhood Facebook Group. There was a date given and the simple directions were shared: families are asked to post a print out of one of the eggs in their front window. Then the kids walk through the neighborhood on the day(s) of the hunt to try and find every egg on their Alphabet Hunt List.
Once the dates of the Easter Egg Hunt were posted, homeowners in the neighborhood commented saying they would be happy to hang a egg in their front window. The person in charge then assigned each participant a letter by commenting back on their participation post.
There are 25 eggs on the hunt. You might have more than 25 people that want to participate. After the first 25 eggs are assigned, anyone else that wants to join in the fun can pick any egg and hang it by their front door as well!
Turn your egg hunt into a multi-day activity by hunting only part of the eggs each day, depending on the age of your kids and the size of your neighborhood.
