Spiders in a Bag Halloween Printable
Soon enough it will be time to get Halloween on our minds! The stores are starting to fill up with costumes, pumpkins and super spooky Halloween decorations!
When my boys were little, they started making these “spiders” for part of their lunch…and 10 years later they still like to make them and eat them! No one is embarrassed to take them in their lunch (my youngest is 10!)…their friends think they’re cool!
SUPPLY LIST
- Halloween bag topper (link at the bottom of the post)
- cardstock
- snack bags
OPTIONAL LIST
- Peanut butter to go (or almond butter)
- Crackers
- Pretzels
- Chocolate chips (raisins)
I put together a fun free printable Halloween bag topper that you can use for your kid’s spider creations. These are perfect to put in their lunch for the month of October (or anytime, really!), use for a snack or even make a basket full for a Halloween Party.
Your kids will love to make them too! Just grab some Ritz Crackers and place some creamy peanut butter (Jiff is our favorite!) on top of two crackers. Next, use pretzels on top of one of the crackers to make the legs. Stick the other cracker (peanut butter side down) on top of the pretzels. Use a small dab of peanut butter to put on the chocolate chips to stick on the eyes!
If your kids can’t have peanut butter, feel free to substitute with something like Almond Butter! Other times we have also used chow mein noodles instead of pretzels and raisins instead of chocolate chips.
Want to make your own Spiders in a Bag? We would love for you to use our free printable bag topper! You can use the link at the bottom of the post to download the bag topper PDF.

Hello! Cracker is spelling incorrectly on the one part of the directions. Could this be fixed? I absolutely LOVE these and want to print them for my classroom!! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for catching that. The pdf link is updated with the version that is spelled correctly!
